Rights Respecting Schools
We have now achieved the Bronze: Rights Committed award for Rights Respecting Schools. Together as a team we are now focusing on becoming a Silver Accredited School.
We ran a competition last year to design our schools ‘Rights Mascot’. We had lots of entries and some fantastic ideas! The School Council/ Rights Steering Group looked at each entry and together we decided on the winner. A big Da iawn to Aurora in Dosbarth Seren ⭐
We then needed to name this wonderful mascot. Again, lots of wonderful ideas were put forward by each class across the school. The School Council/ Steering Group held a virtual meeting to decide on the winner. The winning name was ‘Buzz’. Here is Buzz our rights mascot.
The difference that a Rights Respecting School makes goes beyond the school gates, making a positive impact on the whole community. Please keep up to date with what we are doing as a school and regularly check out our ‘Right of the Month’ to explore different rights with your children at home.
